Aims and Objectives
- This organization serve the disabled community by rendering academic support mainly to the visually impaired students by distributing text books in Braille format from UKG to Post Graduation levels.
- Activities include conversion of text books, literature and magazines from text to Braille format. Binding and posting the same to poor blind beneficiaries all over the state of Karnataka free of cost.
- To extend guidance and help to the poor parents in the education of their disabled children.
- To involve public in services of the disabled community by conducting workshops in order to create awareness among them to the problems and issues faced by the disabled community.
- Distribution of canes, slates for the visually impaired and other aids for the disabled out of the funds received as donation from donors.
- Gainfully employing visually challenged youth in the transcription of books, magazines, literature etc to Braille format.
- Imparting training to the visually impaired in the transcription of books from text to Braille format.
- Gnana Jyothi Trust aspires to foresee a society wherein the disable community has equal opportunity in the field of education and employment thus enabling them to lead life with dignity.
