Academic Support

One of the main activities of The Trust is mainly focused in supporting education of poor blind students. This is done by providing Braille textbooks free of cost to blind students across Karnataka.

Guidance

Guidance and support to poor parents of the visually impaired is regularly provided by The Trust to help them in mentoring and nurturing the children.

Braille Conversion

Visually impaired trained braillists are appointed to convert text to Braille format for the benefit of fellow blind people.

About Us

GNANA JYOTHI Trust for the disabled persons is a non-government organization formed and setup by a set of visually challenged persons. The founders of Gnana Jyothi trust had a first hand experience of the blind persons struggle in the outside world. In order to seek solutions to these problems, Gnana Jyothi trust was setup in the year 2005. The trust was registered on July 4, 2005.

History

In the year 2005, two visually impaired people, Eshwar and Issac came together to form Gnanajyothi Trust with a vision to help their blind brothers and sisters in their education and thus empowering them to live life with dignity. Initially the place of operation was near monotype, Banashankari, Bangalore. Later the activities were shifted to IAR India on Mysore Road..
